  • It is a surprisingly very good phone for the price.

I was honestly shocked at how good the Vivo Y33s 128GB ended up being. It was a big downgrade in performance from my Samsung Galaxy S10e 128GB which was virtually a flagship device when I first got it. The Vivo Y33s however is on the opposite end of the scale classed as a budget device. It has a Mediatek Helio G80 for its CPU. Which is honestly not great in 2022 but it still does the job anyway for all basic tasks. Gaming CPU it is not despite Mediatek claiming the G series of their cpu range is for gaming. Yes but for low to mid range games. It lags in Diablo immortal on low to medium settings. I have not even bothered to try it with Call of Duty mobile as I am certain it will be almost unplayable based on it struggling to run 3d type games. It can get quite hot too after extensive gaming sessions. As a phone though it is great. Call quality is very good overall. Oddly better than my Samsung Galaxy S10e. Battery life is fantastic and it charges very quickly. The 1080p screen quality is amazing for a budget phone and one of if not the best for a sub 300 aud phone. All the other phones in Australia had awful 720p screens or some other problem like no headphone jack to which this phone does have. It also has a Micro SD slot which seem to be disappearing on higher end phones. The Vivo Y33s really is the phone that could. It's tough too. I've dropped it about 10 times and every time it is fine. I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S10e a second time and it was never the same. It goes to prove big brand names and flagship phones are not always better. If you want a phone that is reliable and works as a damn phone should then this is the phone for you. It's basic but it works day in day out like a trooper.

    Pros
    • Has actual decent call quality
    • It works like a phone should
    • Great screen quality for the price
    • Excellent Battery life and charges quickly
    • Dropped it multiple times and is fine. It is a tough phone.
    Cons
    • It is not good for high end mobile gaming
    • Takes pretty ordinary photos
    • Taking videos is okay but not great
    • Has a really annoying safety feature the keeps changing the volume because in the EU it is considered too loud.

  • Excellent all arounder. Not perfect, but certainly worth considering!

Pros: The device can handle anything you throw at it. The cameras are great, but not perfect, absolutely insane charging time ( my timing 18.37 minutes), excellent build quality and design in my opinion. Almost perfect all arounder that has a lot offer at a reasonable price point. Recommended.
Drawbacks. Tons of chinese apps that can't get rid of easily, Origin OS somewhat complicated, yet superior to outdated FunTouch in most ways. Gimble calibration not perfect. Battery life is a bit short. Updating firmware and security features intended for China.

    Pros
    • Great all-arounder.
    Cons
    • Not a perfect all-arounder.
